Mobile Payments in Trains

As an international organisation with branches in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, CCV is continuously aiming to offer omni-channel solutions to the European market. Thanks to CCV Belgium and JForce, train travellers in Belgium can now pay for their ticket with a bank card while sitting on a train of the Belgian National Railways Company (NMBS).

New payment terminals and tablets

Ticket inspectors of the NMBS will be equipped with new ITRIS payment terminals that have the size of a smartphone, combined with a tablet to inform train travellers on extensive and actual news about train traffic, connections and possible incidents on track.

The news payment terminals are connected with the 3G-network. This enables train travellers to pay with their credit of debit card, at an on-board rate. The new terminals and tablets will be rolled out as of June 2015, so that 2600 train conductors of the NMBS will be able to make use of the new system by the end of the year.
